Position Details:

Shift:  Full-time; Evenings (Variable)

Salary:  $44,175 annually.  Includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must possess a License to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related health care discipline and eligibility for licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York.

NOTE:  Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Cancer Institute as following acceptable educational practices.

The preferred candidate will have a NYS license/eligible as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist and have previous clinical laboratory experience in the disciplines of Hematology, Chemistry, or Transfusion Services.

Nature of Work and Responsibilities:

This Clinical Laboratory Technologist will perform clinical lab testing in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine; routine duties include ample accessioning, processing, analysis, and report generation in the technical areas of Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, transfusion Services and limited Microbiology. The incumbent will also be responsible for test analysis, quality control, equipment maintenance, quality improvement activities and utilize information management systems in conjunction with the performance of clinical laboratory testing.
