Clinical Pharmacist - Specialist (#1483)
Position Details:
Shift: Part-time (50%); Rotating Shift

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must possess a License to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of New York and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree; or a Master’s degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time clinical pharmacy or pharmacy-related experience; or a Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of three (3) of full-time clinical pharmacy or pharmacy-related experience.
The preferred candidate will have previous experience in a hospital pharmacy, experience in an oncology setting and be Board Certified in Oncology.

Nature of Work and Responsibilities:
The Clinical Pharmacist - Specialist will provide support for medication distribution systems in an Oncology Hospital and Outpatient infusion clinics including unit dose drug distribution system, preparation and monitoring of chemotherapy, IV Admixture Service and TPN. Some mixing of chemotherapy may be required. The incumbent may also provide pharmacokinetic consults, serve on patient rounds as a member of a multi disciplinary team, provide medication discharge counseling, and participate in a clinical intervention program.
