Laboratory Technician (#1471)

Position Details:

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field; or an Associate’s degree in a science-related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time laboratory experience. The preferred candidate will have experience in molecular biology, histology and tissue culture techniques; excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.

Nature of Work and Responsibilities:

The Laboratory Technician performs technical laboratory work of advanced difficulty in a scientific research laboratory; genotypes maintenance of transgenic mouse lines; prepare mouse tissues for histological examination; perform tissue cultures; perform molecular biology procedures including plasmid construction and preparation; prepare solutions; order supplies and perform other general lab duties.
