Position Details:

Shift:  Full-time; Days (Monday - Friday)

Salary:  $72,931 annually.  Includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must have completed a New York State Education Department-approved Physician Assistant program or a New York State Education Department-approved equivalent and possess the following:

1.  License to practice as a Registered Physician Assistant in the State of New York; and
2.  Current Registered Physician Assistant certification in New York State; and
3.  Certification as a Registered Physician Assistant by the National Commission for Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA) or other national certifying body recognized the New York State Education Department.

NOTE:  Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Cancer Institute as following acceptable educational practices.

The preferred candidate will have oncology experience in both an inpatient and outpatient care environment.

Nature of Work and Responsibilities:

This Physician Assistant will work as part of a team of attending physicians, NPs/PAs, fellows and residents providing care for inpatients and outpatients on the GI service.  Inpatient care includes admission H&Ps, ordering and checking results of diagnostic studies and tests, daily primary care, discharging and communicating with the primary attending physician, outpatient staff and referring physician's office.  Outpatient care includes both evaluation of scheduled patients and acute care visits; performs procedures necessary for patient care.
