Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must possess a a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or a related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in programming of mainframe or PC information systems as it relates to technology used at the Institute.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Cancer Institute as following acceptable educational practices.

The preferred candidate will have previous experience with financial applications including experience in system design and development, implementation, maintenance, and support. Experience with financial applications in a healthcare or government setting, Cobol programming and/or Lawson a plus.

Nature of Work and Responsibilities:

This Programmer/Analyst will be assigned to the Information Technology Group and will be responsible for administration, support, documentation, and maintenance of a number of institute applications. Responsibilities include project management, application analysis and design, program development and  implementation. This position will involve the analysis of new requests for feasibility, hardware compatibility, and impact on other applications. The ability to generate job requirements in terms of time and resources to support projects and the ability to interact and communicate effectively with other departments, vendors and other IT staff is a must.
