Position Details:

Shift:  Full-time; Days (8:30am - 5:00pm)

Salary:  $37,438 annually.  Includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a clinical or scientific discipline and the equivalent of 1 year of full-time experience in a laboratory setting; or 30 graduate credits leading to an advanced degree in an appropriate clinical or scientific discipline.

NOTE:  Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Cancer Institute as following acceptable educational practices.

The preferred candidate will have a Master's degree in Biology or a related field; or a Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field and at least 2 years of full-time experience in a laboratory setting.  Familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques and cell culture is also preferred.

Nature of Work and Responsibilities:

This Research Technologist will support research for the Department of Cancer Prevention and Control.  This candidate will perform high-quality molecular biology work, perform cell cultures and process blood samples, perform other related duties and routine laboratory procedures as requested by the Principal Investigator, and conduct routine maintenance of equipment as needed.
