Position Details:

Shift:  Full-time; Days

Salary:  $46,652 annually.  Includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must possess an Associate's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field including at least one semester of an internship in Information Technology; or an Associate's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field and the equivalent of six (6) months of full-time experience in Information Technology hardware/software support in a corporate network environment.

NOTE:  Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Cancer Institute as following acceptable educational practices.

The preferred candidate will have at least one year of IT experience, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field, and knowledge of or previous experience in the use of Laboratory Information Systems.

Nature of Work and Responsibilities:

This Technical Support Specialist will perform duties in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.  This candidate will coordinate projects, assist in the use and support of Laboratory Information System hardware and software applications, work collaboratively with Technical Support Specialists in the Information Technology Department in the coordinated deployment of Laboratory Information System hardware, devices and printer configurations, and perform first-level diagnosis of the Laboratory Information System functionality and problem resolution.
